Responsive relationships
Children thrive when they feel safe, seen and understood. Warm, responsive relationships build confidence and a strong sense of belonging.
Curriculum
Children learn through meaningful play, exploration and intentional teaching. Our program follows the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Australia's national framework for children from birth to five.

Our framework in three words
Me: building a strong sense of who I am. We: learning to connect with others. Explore: discovering and understanding the world.
Children thrive when they feel safe, seen and understood. Warm, responsive relationships build confidence and a strong sense of belonging.
We follow children's interests and strengths, creating learning experiences that reflect their natural curiosity.
Educators gently guide learning through conversations, questions and experiences that encourage thinking and discovery.
Beautiful, calm spaces act as a "third teacher", encouraging independence, creativity and exploration every day.
Learning framework
Guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, supporting each child's identity, belonging and wellbeing.
Children build confidence, independence and a strong sense of self as they begin to understand who they are.
Through relationships and shared experiences, children learn empathy, cooperation and what it means to be part of a community.
Children develop resilience and emotional awareness while learning to care for their bodies and manage big feelings.
Curiosity leads learning as children investigate ideas, experiment and develop problem-solving skills through play.
Language, creativity and storytelling help children express themselves and communicate with confidence.

School readiness
Guided by Linda's years as a teacher, children practise school routines, independence and foundational skills in the year before school.
Ask about School Readiness on a tour
Hi, I'm Katie and I'm an educator at Storybrooke. I've worked in childcare for seven years.
I love what I do because I'm impacting positively on little lives, and I know I'm making a big difference. If I can spark a thought about what they would love to grow up and be, I would love to think that I sparked that in their little heads.
I also love children with additional needs. That is a huge passion of mine, because I always think everyone should get a chance. Some people say they can't do something, when I always believe there is always a way.
This is where little stories begin, and this is Storybrooke. I can't wait to meet you on a tour.
Inclusion and diversity
We celebrate diversity in culture, language, identity, ability and family structure. Our practice is inclusive and anti-bias, and we work with families on individual support for every child.

Parent Handbook
Our Parent Handbook covers our curriculum and values, and the way we nurture each child's learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. Ask for a copy and we'll email it to you.
